Donna Garner has worked as a voice teacher and repertoire coach for over 25 years, with students performing lead roles in professional theatres across Canada and the U.S. She teaches at her Toronto studio, in New York and by Skype and FaceTime.

Donna has been a member of the College of Examiners of The Royal Conservatory of Music since 1997, conducting examinations in Voice and Speech Arts throughout Canada and more recently, the U.S. She is a past faculty member of the prestigious Sheridan College Musical Theatre program, and The Randolph College for the Performing Arts.

Donna is in demand as an adjudicator for music festivals and competitions, and is a member of the Canadian Music Festival Adjudicator’s Association.

She has taught masterclasses at universities, colleges and secondary schools in Canada, the U.S., and Japan.

When not on stage, Donna also works as a Music Director in professional theatre, and as a church organist and choir director. She has conducted small ensembles to large orchestras and choirs.

Donna’s teaching philosophy is to encourage performers to study diligently, but with a joyful and whole-hearted dedication to the craft of telling the story.
